Shamanic Healing

Shamanism may well be the the oldest spiritual practice on Earth. It is a system of direct revelation, without dogma or doctrine. A shaman, writes Michael Harner in The Way of the Shaman, is a man or woman who enters an altered state of consciousness, at will, to contact and utilize an ordinarily hidden reality in order to acquire knowledge, power, and to help other people. The role of the shaman is to bring balance to a person, a community, or the earth.

A shamanic healing session with Joe is a co-creative experience in which divine guidance may be called upon to achieve authentic balance, to reconnect with internal and external sources of power, and to reignite the passion in one's life. Joe likes to start a session by talking with the client, and then may employ Polarity Therapy bodywork techniques (pressure-sensitive touch and gentle stretching) to increase the flow of energy throughout the body, guided visualization, sound and breathwork. Chakra cleansing, soul retrieval, and past life review may be part of the experience. Other lifestyle changes, including nutrition and exercise, can be addressed. One or more sessions may be needed to achieve one's goals.

Phone sessions and other long-distance healing services are available. Personalized rituals (for birthdays and other rites of passage) and private ceremonies (healing circles, fire ceremonies) can be performed upon request for individuals and groups.
